Ameraucana Chickens

Breeding Quality Ameraucana Chickens
For the past six years, we've been dedicated to breeding high-quality Ameraucana chickens, known for their charming beards and stunning blue eggs. Our breeding stock comes from respected lines including B’s Garden (Brattlie Family), Dusty Buggs Poultry (Becky Pelton), and Triple S (Brad Stonebarger)—all known for producing show-quality birds.
Ameraucanas are a favorite among poultry enthusiasts for their docile nature, making them excellent choices for families and 4-H projects. As a recognized breed by the American Poultry Association (APA), they bring both beauty and pedigree to any flock.
We currently breed the following varieties:
  • Black
  • Blue
  • Ermine (a color project variety not yet APA-recognized, but very close to approval)
We hatch chicks from January through April each year. If you're interested in chicks or hatching eggs, please email us to join our waitlist.
Local pickup only—we do not offer shipping at this time.
All chicks are sold straight-run (unsexed) unless otherwise noted.

Proposed Ermine Ameraucana SOP

Proposed Ermine Ameraucana Variety Description
For Both Large Fowl and Bantam
COLOR – MALE AND FEMALE
COMB, FACE, WATTLES AND EAR-LOBES: Red, except female earlobes to be very pale, matching color of the skin.
BEAK: Horn with dark markings of variable sizes
EYES: Reddish bay
PLUMAGE: Primarily white feathers with fewer, preferably solid black feathers.
FLUFF: Primarily white to sooty white fluff, with fewer less defined dull black fluff.
SHANKS AND TOES: Solid slate preferred; darker/lighter spots are acceptable.
BOTTOM OF FEET: White
NOTE: Feather distribution should be predominantly white with black feathers. Black feathers should be evenly distributed throughout the entire body, with no more than 40% and no less than 20% being black. This pattern should be clear and defined. An occasional black feather with white ticking or black feather with mottling may appear. The beard and muffs will often be completely white, which is acceptable due to the random distribution of single black feathers across the entire bird. Smokey colored feathers are to be discouraged but not a disqualification.
DISQUALIFICATIONS: More than 40% black feathers in the plumage.
